Happy Summer Everyone!
As the month of June comes to an end and we prepare to move into the height of summer days, we wanted to share our favorite selections from the photos posted to the community Flickr group over the last month. These photographs are submitted by our readers and contributors, and are organized around themes that speak to our experiences as people working to approach the world in which we live with mindfulness and an eye for the beauty that is all around us.
June 20th marked the first day of Summer, and we celebrated with a surprise project from Co-Editor, Bernadette Emerson. Mermaid Tails for dolls are a perfect way to celebrate the magic of reading, and the love of doll play with children of all ages and genders. We hope that you enjoy this special surprise project, and all that Summer has to offer.
Summer is such a beloved season for many of us. The warmth of the sun, time spent out of doors, good food served on blankets, children running and screaming, and lazy afternoons spent reading are just a few joys that this time of year can bring.
Summer is a special time here at Rhythm of the Home as well, as we gather together many wonderful voices to share their projects, recipes, and reflections to help make this the best of seasons to enjoy.
We hope that your summer is filled to the brim with sunshine, fireflies, sand castles, a good harvest, and many cherished moments with your loved ones. We welcome you here, and hope that you will grab a tall glass of lemonade and enjoy the many pages of this 11th edition of Rhythm of the Home.
We would like to invite you to join us for our first ever Facebook Giveaway! We will be sharing a new giveaway there every Thursday, and we hope that you will stop in and say hello.
The Autumn edition of Rhythm of the home will go live on Wednesday, September 5th, and we are now accepting queries for Autumn and Winter.
We wish you a joyous and fun-filled Summer ahead.
