This vase is easy to make and makes good use of one thing that I am sure that we all have a lot of….scraps of wrapping paper. You could easily do this with any sort of paper, but I happen to love the sturdiness and beautiful print of wrapping paper. Plus, who doesn’t LOVE fresh blooms scattered around the house in the summer time?
Supplies
Scrap pieces of wrapping paper
Plastic glass
Glue
Paintbrush
Scissors
First, cut your wrapping paper into 1 inch squares.
Working on a half of the vase at a time, paint the plastic glass with a thin layer of glue.
Quickly place wrapping paper squares onto the glue.
Overlapping as you go around the entire vase.
Once the entire vase is covered in paper and no plastic shows through, paint a final layer of glue over all of the paper pieces.
The vase will look milky with the glue over the paper, but don’t worry.
After a few hours of drying in the sun, the glue will be clear again, and ready to be filled with a fresh bouquet of happiness.
