If you would like to make your folder lie flat, just block it on a piece of felt. To block, dampen and pin into position and allow to dry.
Cut a piece of cotton material with a pinking shears to fit just inside of your knitted cover. Cut it slightly smaller than the cover, approximately 5 x 3.5 inches.
Sew the liner onto the inside of the knitted cover with a needle and thread.
Cut a piece of yellow felt, approx 2.5 x 2.5 inches and stitch it into the right side of the sewing book. Sew along the left side of the felt to secure.
Draw an oak leaf onto another piece of yellow felt and cut it out. Handstitch along the main vein of the leaf with dark cotton.
Sew the oak leaf onto the front of the needle book cover.
Your little sewing needle book is complete!
