Repurposed Sweater Turned into a Scarf

    Autumn 2010 , Warmth
On: July 28, 2010, By: Rhythm of the Home, In: Autumn 2010, Warmth, 7 Comments

I found this sweater at a local thrift store a while ago; I really love the color of the yarn and the pattern. I decided to make a tube scarf out of this sweater.

Begin by making bias tape with fabric that complements the sweater.  You can use store-bought bias tape too.

Place the bias tape a few inches below the arm pit. Pin the bias tape all around the body.

Join the ends of the bias tape. Sew all around the body with a sewing machine.

Cut above the edge of the bias tape.

Fold the bias tape towards the wrong side of the sweater. Pin the bias tape in place then sew with a zigzag stitch all around the body.

All you need to do now is to enjoy!
